SSHRC Deadline extensions (Atlantic provinces) for Insight Grants and Gender-Based Violence Research Initiative

SSHRC is aware of the impact Hurricane Fiona has had on researchers and postsecondary institutions in Atlantic Canada. Due to the widespread damage, power-outages, and disruptions, SSHRC has extended the Insight Grants funding opportunity deadline to October 17, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. eastern and the Gender-Based Violence Research Initiative deadline to October 20, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. eastern for applicants submitting from post-secondary institutions in the Atlantic provinces. We hope that this two-week extension provides the necessary time for impacted researchers to submit their applications. Should any additional extension be required, applicants should contact insightgrants@sshrc-crsh.gc.ca for Insight Grants or partnerships@sshrc-crsh.gc.ca for the Gender-Based Violence Research Initiative, and requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Note: Applications that have already been submitted will not be reopened.
